Today we went for Emmy's two week check up with our midwife. Myriam, our midwife who delivered Em, has left for Australia for the next few months so we met with our second midwife Susan. I love both of them so much, I wish we could stay under their care forever! Only two more appointments left with them until we have to find our own doctor.
Emmy is growing by leaps and bounds. She started at 7 pounds, 7 oz, and a few days later was 6 pounds 11 oz. Now she is a whopping 8 pounds, 8 oz! Em is growing so quick. She rolled onto her side the other day, and is holding her head up by herself for what seems like forever.
I love it when she's wide awake, hears my voice, and turns to look for me. I'm so lucky to be this little bird's mama and I'm so excited to spend the all of my days, months and years watching her grow into a bigger little bird.
