Kingston Babywearing Project -- Alicia & Agnes

I recently got together with this beautiful pair, Alicia and her daughter Agnes, for the Kingston Babywearing Project! The two accompanied me through City Park, which is a beautiful and bright oasis of trees and gardens right in the middle of downtown Kingston. The park is full of playgrounds, splash pads, beautiful historic statues and amazing festivals. It's definitely a staple place to visit every season in Kingston, and I was so happy to finally do a shoot there!

Kingston Babywearing Project -- Marissa & Casper

As the weather gets more and more beautiful, I'll be posting a lot more of the Kingston Babywearing Project! I already have so many mamas lined up for the next few weeks who are interested in having their portraits taken for the project and I'm so excited that this project is blowing up! Our babywearing group is constantly growing and I can't wait to meet some more babywearing parents!

The other day I met up with one of my favourite mamas and a personal friend of mine, Marissa, and her son Casper bright and early to snap some photos by the famous Kingston waterfront.

Kingston Babywearing Project -- Sarah & George

I had almost forgotten about these absolutely beautiful photos I took of Sarah and baby George what seems like forever ago! Considering everything outside is covered in layers of snow and ice, these photos were such a breath of fresh air to look through again.

These photos are part of my Kingston Babywearing Project series that documents babywearing mamas in our beautiful city.

Kingston Babywearing Project -- Kimberly & Ben

Recently I got together with this mama for another Kingston Babywearing Project shoot. Kimberly is a beautiful, hilarious and awesome lady who has four kiddos; ages 5 months, 4 years, 7 years and 14 years! It amazes me how put together and sane she is -- to say she is an absolute inspiration would probably be the understatement of the year.

We decided to visit the Memorial Arch at the Royal Military College of Canada for photos. We discovered a beautiful path lined with trees turning beautiful fall colours, and not to mention an amazing sunset that made me fall in love with our city all over again.

Celebrating the beginning of our vacation with a breakfast at Tommy's diner downtown. Tonight we start the long drive all the way down to Florida.. I'm a bundle of excitement and anxiousness. Cross your fingers and wish us luck!

Happy 8 months, baby bird!

We went to a frozen yogurt spot around the corner from us. They seem to be really popular downtown lately and we haven't visited this one. The gimmick is that you choose a flavour of yogurt and then top it with a buffet of fresh fruit, candy, chocolate, and more. I had pumpkin cheesecake yogurt with huge cheesecake chunks, white chocolate chips and some crunchy chocolate bits. M had chocolate yogurt with lots of brownie and peanut butter added, and miss Emmy had dairy free grapefruit and lemon sorbet with some strawberries. Everything was delicious! This place gets a thumbs up from us and we will definitely be back. I love family outings and treating this little girl to a good time.

Kingston Babywearing Project -- Heather & Blake

So, I have something ridiculously exciting to share with everyone. It's a sort-of-secret project that I've been working on for around four months now, documenting the babywearing community around my city. Going by the name of the Kingston Babywearing Project, I've been partnering with mamas (and papas!) to show them off babywearing different places around our city. So far, we have hit up the farmer's market, toy stores, parks, and today I'm showing off one of the most delicious parts of downtown Kingston -- The Limestone Cupcakery!

I'm hoping with this project I can not only showcase and discover some great parts of our city, but spread the babywearing word around Kingston. We have an amazing babywearing group that is constantly welcoming new members and I can't wait to feature these great mamas around my city!

So without anymore rambling, I'd like to introduce Heather and Blake!

This morning we went down to the train tracks to watch the trains roll by. We have a "special spot" that we found a couple of years ago that is tucked away, surrounded by the trees and a perfect place to watch the trains.

Our Neighborhood

Em and I take walks around the neighborhood all the time (I'd like to say every day, but I'm lucky if I get to shower some days!). We have an amazing neighborhood and live within walking distance of so many awesome things and I've decided to start sharing bits of our walks through the neighborhood. Today we walked around looking at all the different doors and I realized just how colorful and unique they are. Funny how I can take the same walk fifty times and still notice new things.

I really hope we stay downtown when we move this upcoming September. Fingers crossed.

My favorites were the second orange one and the last one with the vines all over the door. The orange door belonged to a house with huge bay windows and there were all sorts of toys in the windowsill. It looked like a very loved home.
