three weeks come and gone.

Things have been busy around here for the last few days. My mom left on Monday to go back to Florida which is hard -- it was nearly two years from the last time I saw her. She got to spend an amazing couple of weeks here with us. I can't imagine what it would have been like not having her around to help, and I hope she's able to come back again soon.

Since papa is working still, Emmy and I are alone most days. I have to admit I was a little intimidated being all alone with her at first.. The anxiety went away pretty quick though and I'm really enjoying our girl time together! She's starting to smile at me if I smile at her first, and although she's pretty restless during her naps, I love cuddling up with her while she sleeps. Three weeks went by way too quick and I'm still taking never ending photos, trying to capture every little moment as she grows up before our eyes.
